Ball Type
Features
Ball Type is measuring of internal diameters and spaces between two surfaces the width of grooves, threads are some of the broadest applications for Precision Ball Gauges.
Our custom balls gauge are an excellent way to check bore diameters, they have minimal contact friction not stick or bind and due to 360 line of contact.
you can immediately detect if the hole in question is barrel shape (large in the center), bell-mouth (small in the center), or taper.
Advantages
Precision balls make first-rate inspection tools, but loose balls are very hard to work with.
This problem solves by attaching a stem and handle to a ball-type for plug gauge.
They have a rather unique advantage over conventional inspection methods and are excellent for use in confinement as even the actual hole or groove being measured is not inspector, the innate spherical shape provides a self-centering line of contact that can be inserted into a hole being measured at an angle, and without any alignment problems.
Two ball plug gauges can be mount on a standard AGD handle to make a GO/NO-GO Ball Gauge.
