Frenco designs and manufactures a wide range of spur and helical main gears to all major international standards including BS, AGMA and DIN and is supported by the UKAS laboratory. Main gears can be designed to follow basic gear proportions or to tailored to specific applications using customer component data.

Main gears are manufactured in a variety of materials. From hardened tool steel for inspection purposes to high speed steel for high frequency use and superior wear resistance Special coatings can also be applied to increase resistance to wear and corrosion.
